Booking terms

How a booking with RS Media works.

Short, in plain English, and the same for every couple. These terms form part of your proposal; the proposal carries the coverage hours, deliverables and rates for your day.

Confirming a date

A date is held once we receive a signed proposal and a 50% deposit. The deposit is non-refundable and is applied to your final balance. Until then the date stays open to other couples.

Balance

The balance is due 14 days before the wedding, so that nothing about money has to happen on the day itself.

Rescheduling

One reschedule to a new date within 12 months of the original date is free of charge, subject to crew availability. Further reschedules, or a new date outside 12 months, are treated as a new booking with the deposit carried over at RS Media's discretion.

Cancellation

  • More than 60 days before the date: the deposit is retained; nothing further is payable.
  • Within 60 days: the full fee is payable, because the crew has been reserved and other bookings declined.

Events beyond anyone's control

If the venue closes, official restrictions prevent the wedding, or there is a bereavement in either family, the booking is rescheduled once at no charge to any date within 18 months.

Hours and overtime

Coverage hours run continuously from the agreed start time. Time beyond the booked hours is charged per hour at the overtime rate in your proposal, rounded up to the hour. We let you know on the day before overtime begins.

Delivery

Delivery timelines in your proposal run from the wedding date. Selects and the full gallery are delivered through a private online gallery; films are delivered as download links. Timelines assume the programme in your run sheet.

Copyright and your licence

RS Media retains copyright in all photographs and films. You receive a perpetual licence for personal use of every delivered image and film, including unlimited personal printing and sharing. Commercial use by third parties (vendors, venues, publications) is by separate written permission.

Showing your wedding

We show a couple's photographs or film on this site, on social media or in a portfolio only with the couple's written consent. You can decline, or limit it to certain images, and change your mind later.

Tax

RS Media Pte. Ltd. is not GST-registered. All figures are nett, in Singapore dollars.

Our obligations

We arrive at the agreed time with the agreed crew and back-up equipment, keep two copies of your files from the day of the wedding until delivery, and deliver what the proposal says. If a named crew member cannot attend through illness or emergency, we replace them from our own in-house team at no charge.

Questions couples ask

About booking.

Is GST added to your quote?

No. RS Media Pte. Ltd. is not GST-registered, so the figure in your proposal is the figure you pay. There is no tax line added afterwards.

How much is the deposit, and is it refundable?

A 50% deposit confirms the date and is non-refundable. It is deducted from the final balance, which is due 14 days before the wedding.

Can we move our wedding date after booking?

Yes. One reschedule to a new date within 12 months of the original date is free of charge, subject to crew availability. A second reschedule, or a date more than 12 months out, is treated as a new booking, and we will carry the deposit over where we can.

What happens if we cancel?

More than 60 days before the date, the deposit is retained and nothing further is owed. Within 60 days, the full fee is payable, because the crew has been held for you and other couples have been turned away for that date.

What if the venue closes or there are government restrictions?

Postponement for reasons beyond either party's control — venue closure, official restrictions, bereavement — is rescheduled once at no charge to any date within 18 months.

Who owns the photographs and films?

RS Media retains copyright. You receive a perpetual licence to use every delivered image and film for personal purposes, including printing as many copies as you like. We show a couple's wedding on this site or on social media only with their written consent, which you can decline.

What if the day runs longer than booked?

Coverage beyond the booked hours is charged per hour at the overtime rate stated in your proposal, rounded up to the hour. We tell you on the day before it happens, so nothing is a surprise on the invoice.
